1. Is chiropractic safe?

Chiropractic manipulation is a very controlled manoeuvre and side effects from the treatment are extremely rare. There has been a lot of research into our treatment and patient satisfaction is always reported to be very high.

  2. How does chiropractic work?

Chiropractic adjustments work by helping to place your body in the proper position that then allows the body to heal itself.

  3. How many sessions will I need?

This is difficult to answer as it will depend on your health goals, age, severity and chronicity of the problem, and of course everyone's biology is different therefore rate of recovery will vary. Usually relief care takes 3-4 weeks and corrective structural rehabilitation takes between 9-12 weeks.

  4. What is an adjustment?

Chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which trained specialists (chiropractors) use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of chiropractic adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is to correct structural alignment and improve your body's physical function. You may incidentally hear a popping sound which is gas being released from the joint.

  5. How much will the care plan cost?
  6. The price of the initial assessment is £25 and if X-rays are clinically required there is an extra charge of £30. The cost of chiropractic care varies depending on the number of sessions each person needs and you will find that out after the initial examination with Dr. Conn.
